Prices on food items increased in Kazakhstan by 9.6 percent in 2019, whereas prices on non-food items increased by 5 percent and on paid services by 0.7 percent, Trend reports with reference to the Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
This year the increase of prices was observed on flour (27.3 percent), cereals (25.6 percent), rice (21.6 percent), potatoes (14.3 percent), noodles (13.4 percent), eggs (11.9 percent), butter (11.3 percent), coffee (9.7 percent), hard curd cheese (9.5 percent), bakery and flour products (9.3 percent), tea (7.3 percent).
The increase of prices was also observed on frozen fish (by 18.2 percent), mutton (16.9 percent), beef (16.2 percent), bread (16 percent), horse meat (15.4 percent), poultry meat, pork (by 11.6 percent each) and meat products (by 10.3 percent).
In turn, prices of cold beverages increased by 12.4 percent, tobacco products by 12.2 percent, alcoholic beverages by 7.6 percent. Decrease of prices by 22.4 percent was observed on granulated sugar.
Increase of prices by 8.8 percent was observed on cars, by 6.6 percent on construction materials, 6.4 percent on textile goods, by 6.2 percent on pharmaceuticals and household appliances, and by 6.1 percent on furniture and household items.
Diesel fuel and coal increased in price by 1.1 percent each, whereas petrol decreased in price by 4.6 percent, and liquefied gas in cylinders by 0.4 percent.
