BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 9. The volume of remittances by individuals from Iraq to Azerbaijan amounted to $7.1 million in the first half of 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank shows that this figure decreased by 27.85 percent, or $2.7 million, compared to the same period of last year.
The share of transfers from Iraq in the total volume of remittances is 1.3 percent.
According to the results of 2023, the volume of remittances by individuals from Iraq to Azerbaijan amounted to $19.4 million.
To note, the volume of remittances by individuals from foreign countries to Azerbaijan amounted to $1.6 billion by the end of 2023.
