The Institute of Information Technologies of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences conducts research to create voice identification systems, the head of the department Yadigar Imamverdiyev told Trend.
He said that the initial research results will be presented in early February.
Voice, along with handwriting and gait, refers to the "behavioral" descriptors of a person. It is an integral feature as face and fingerprints. It is theoretically possible to identify a person if he would speak other language.
The system has broad functions, allowing to determine social characteristics (education, profession, level of culture), emotional state, the region of formation of speech, physical characteristics, etc.
