The Azerbaijani Cable Operators Association (ACOA) is developing membership proposals, Executive Director Ali Aliyev told Trend on Thursday.
Aliyev said the proposals will clearly reflect the conditions and benefits that the ACOA offers to cable television market players in Azerbaijan.
"This is a kind of public policy, which is necessary to develop and which will be offered by us. Initially, at the time of creating the ACOA, concrete proposals were not developed about what will be offered to members. It is clear that the overall goal is to develop this segment. Nevertheless, private companies in this market segment have their own interests. Our proposal, which we plan to publish by late February, will proceed from common interests," Aliyev said.
In the future, the association plans to attract Internet service providers, banking sector players, equipment manufacturers and others to eventually integrate into the European system of cable television, he added.
