The Azerbaijani Education Ministry has launched the e-education contest, the ministry said.
The contest is held within the State Education Informatization Program in 2008-2012 and supported by Microsoft Azerbaijan, Intel's "Education for the Future" program, Azerfon-Vodafone, AzEduNet, Ultra, HP and Madad.

The contest is organized through two categories: "Internet Technologies in Education" and "E-Learning Resources in Modern Schools."
The contest's main aim is to promote the use of electronic educational resources and Internet technologies in education, to inform the public, to reveal new ways of using the Internet for educational purposes, and to stimulate teachers actively using IT in education.
A two-stage voting will be conducted by the Education Ministry's jury.
The winners in each five nominations will receive laptops, notebooks and other special prizes.
The contest is held for the second time.
