Certain types of vehicles in Uzbekistan have been exempt from paying the recycling fee until December 31, 2022, Ministry of Justice in Uzbekistan stated with reference to the resolution of the cabinet of ministers, Trend reports.
These measures were introduced in order to support entrepreneurship in foreign economic activities operating in the fields of tourism and construction, to create conditions for the renewal and modernization of the vehicle fleet.
A zero rate recycling fee applies to trucks and tractors (nomenclature of goods subject to foreign trade code 8701 20), the year of production of which is less than four years, complying with the ecological "Euro-5" standard and higher, as well as trailers and semi-trailers (codes 8716 31, 8716 39) with a production period of up to five years.
A zero rate is also applied to new trucks, as well as to new specialized transport and vehicles intended for the carriage of 10 or more passengers, complying with the environmental "Euro-5" standard and higher.
In addition, zero rate is applied to the vehicles intended for the carriage of 10 or more passengers, including the driver, complying with the environmental "Euro-5" standard and higher.
Vehicles imported on interstate, intergovernmental and interorganizational directions for charitable purposes will also not be subject to a recycling fee.
