ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 23. Turkmenistan is actively improving and developing its civil aviation infrastructure, Trend reports.

This was stated by the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammetkhan Chakiyev on October 20 during his report on activities in supervised areas during a government meeting.

He noted that, in particular, new planes and helicopters are being purchased, staff training is being carried out, new airports are being built, and the existing ones are being improved.

Furthermore, Chakiyev added that the Turkmenhowayollary Agency (Turkmenistan Airlines) is organizing the work of flight equipment at airports.

Summarizing the report of the Deputy Prime Minister, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the further modernization of the material and technical base of the country's airports to ensure the continuity and safety of flights.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is actively improving its civil aviation infrastructure, moving forward with many significant achievements. This includes the modernization and expansion of airports, the renewal of the aviation fleet, and the conclusion of international agreements to strengthen air links and stimulate the tourism industry.
