BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 30. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov has launched the Terik-Tash clinker plant in the Kemin district of the Chuy region, Trend reports.
The opening is part of the centenary celebration of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, which marked the beginning of modern Kyrgyzstan. As part of this celebration, plans include launching 100 new industrial and social projects.
"I am confident that today’s opening of these 100 projects will transform the lives of every citizen and lay the foundation for significant economic shifts. The Terik-Tash cement plant and construction materials enterprises will provide a solid foundation for housing development. This revitalization of the construction sector is a positive signal for attracting investment," Japarov said.
He also highlighted that the new agricultural processing facilities will not only strengthen the country's food security but also offer opportunities for increased exports. Additionally, the new power generation projects aim to ensure the country's energy independence.
The plant’s production capacity will be 3,800 tons of clinker per day, and the project's total cost is $160 million.
