BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 23. Industrial projects for processing local raw materials have a flagship status in the plans to diversify the economy of Turkmenistan, Trend reports.
They were also discussed at a meeting of the Turkmenistan's Cabinet of Ministers, where reports were made on the measures to modernize the country's petrochemical industry and introduce advanced technologies at the processing plants of the Turkmennebit State Concern.
Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan, Batyr Amanov informed about the ongoing work in the concern's divisions in order to increase the depth of oil refining, while he added that the relevant installations are currently being reconstructed at the Seydi Oil Refinery.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annamammedov reported on the activities of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern in this context, including the establishment of new production facilities at the Guvlyduz salt combine, where capacity expansion is planned through the creation of modern enterprises based on innovative technologies.
Turkmenistan is actively developing its industry, striving to diversify the economy and strengthen its position in the world market.
Energy, the chemical industry and the oil and gas sector are becoming priority areas, contributing to an increase in the production and export of high-tech products.
