Gas production at Gissar cluster of fields in Uzbekistan has been brought to the level of five billion cubic meters per year.
This was achieved through commissioning of the main production facilities of the South-West Gissar project: an integrated gas treatment unit with design capacity of 4.4 billion cubic meters per year, gas pre-treatment unit, as well as six gas gathering stations.
The official launch of new facilities at Gissar cluster of fields in Uzbekistan took place Sept. 23 with participation of President of Russia’s LUKOIL company Vagit Alekperov and Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.
More than half of total volumes of natural gas, produced at the LUKOIL’s foreign projects, account for Uzbekistan. As of early September, 2017, the cumulative production at projects, managed by LUKOIL in the country, reached 45 billion cubic meters.
The company is the largest foreign investor in Uzbekistan.
LUKOIL is operating in Uzbekistan on the implementation of two projects on the basis of production sharing agreements (PSA) – Kandym-Hauzak-Shady-Kungrad and developing fields of the South-West Gissar.
As of today, total volume of LUKOIL investments in joint projects in Uzbekistan’s oil and gas sector exceeds $6.5 billion.
LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company is the operator of Russian LUKOIL’s projects in Uzbekistan.
