TradeUzbekistan.com will become a single foreign trade platform of Uzbekistan.
Uztrade JSC, operating under the Foreign Trade Ministry of Uzbekistan, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Korean company KTNET (Korea Trade Network) and the Korean International Trade Association (KITA) in the field of electronic commerce .
Thus, the Korean institutions will take part in the modernization of the foreign trade platform UzTrade, Uzbek media reports citing the Ministry.
The document provides for the creation of a unified national foreign trade electronic platform on the basis of the UzTrade site (TradeUzbekistan.com).
Currently, the website operates as a catalog of products offered by Uzbek companies and allows to communicate with manufacturers to discuss terms of an export contract.
The modernization of the platform will allow to manage the whole process of contracting export-import transactions completely in paperless form.
The Foreign Trade Ministry of Uzbekistan reports that in January-July 2017, some 453 new enterprises were involved in export activities. The export of 130 new types of goods was mastered.
Morover, the geography of shipments of domestic products expanded to 37 new markets.
