EBRD discloses value of upcoming projects in Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 23. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is implementing 17 projects valued at over 1.2 billion euros in Uzbekistan today, Trend reports.

This figure was revealed at the meeting between Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and EBRD Managing Director for Central Asia Zsuzsanna Hargitai.

The sides discussed the progress of ongoing EBRD-financed projects and explored new joint initiatives.

With the support of the bank, these projects are currently being implemented in infrastructure development, energy, solid waste management, transport, and irrigation fields.

Furthermore, there are 7 new projects under development, amounting to 929 million euros.

The EBRD's portfolio in Uzbekistan includes 16 completed projects with a total value of 391.3 million euros, covering areas such as water and sanitation, energy, district heating, transport, and small and medium business support.
