TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 16. The trade volume between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan from January through August 2024 reached over $135.3 million.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan indicates that this marks a substantial increase of 27.8 percent compared to the same period last year when the trade volume was $105.8 million.
From January through August 2024, Uzbekistan imported goods worth $22.4 million from Azerbaijan, which represents 0.12 percent of its total foreign trade turnover. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's exports to Uzbekistan amounted to $112.9 million, making up 0.88 percent of its international trade.
In the first half of the current year, the trade volume between the two countries was $91 million, reflecting a 14 percent rise compared to the same period in the previous year.
During the reported period, Azerbaijan imported goods worth $77 million from Uzbekistan and exported products valued at $14 million.
