Iran's Bushehr province boosts non-oil product exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 24. The exports of non-oil products from Bushehr province, located in southern Iran, increased by 5 percent in value and 4 percent in weight during the four months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through July 21, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through July 22, 2023), Customs Inspector of Bushehr Province Customs Office Ali Soleimani said, Trend reports.

According to him, 10.4 million tons of products worth $3.96 billion were exported from Bushehr province during the four months.

Soleimani noted that the exported products included petrochemical products, gas condensate, cement, various kinds of fish, mining minerals, and more. The products were exported mainly to China, the UAE, India, Brazil, Türkiye, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Oman, Qatar, and Taiwan.

The official pointed out that 240,000 tons of products worth $728 million were imported to Bushehr province during the past four months. Imports of products increased by 18 percent in value and 39 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.

To note, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to $17.5 billion over four months. This is eight percent more than in the same period last year.
