Iran is expected to produce 10 million tons on milk during the current fiscal year (to end March 20), according to Hassan Rokni, deputy minister of agriculture.
This is while the country produced 9.6 million tons of milk last fiscal year (he noted, IRIB news agency reported August 6.
According to the official, Iran exported 850 thousand tons of dairy products last fiscal year.
He said the government has allocated 2 trillion rials ($61 million) to promoting dairy products export.
