Yury Luzhkov, Mayor of Moscow, may be declared as persona non grata in Georgia, reported Prime-News.
Yuri Luzhkov said Tbilisi should recognize its breakaway regions' independence in order to resolve the conflicts.
"I think that everything will become easier if Georgia recognizes the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia," Luzhkov told journalists on the sidelines of an economic forum in St. Petersburg.
He emphasized that this is inevitable. "This is the independence, people who are not relatives of Georgians, wish to acquire", Luzhkov stated.
Representatives of the Georgian government consider, Luzhkov's recent statement is related to his business interests in Abkhazia.
The mayor of Moscow was granted the status of persona non grata in Ukraine several months ago.
