Georgian opposition states Patriarch about its intransigence

The Georgia radical opposition will continue its relentless struggle against the authorities until its victory - President Mikheil Saakashvili's resignation, ex-Parliamentary Speaker Nino Burjanadze told journalists after the meeting with Georgian Patriarch Ilia II.

Burjanadze expressed her confidence that the "opposition's struggle will result in the Georgian people's victory". "We said that our struggle will continue peacefully, firmly, and we are confident that this fight will result in a victory for Georgia and the Georgian people," Burjanadze said.
 
Burjanadze also noted that opposition leaders have received absolution from the Patriarch and talked about the current situation of the country.
 

Leader of united opposition Levan Gachechiladze confirmed his intention to continue the demonstration. He said none agreement was reached at this meeting and there was only absolution.
