Separate attacks in the northern city of Mosul left two Iraqi policemen dead on Tuesday, security sources said, dpa reported.
One policeman was shot dead by a group of gunmen near his home in the neighbourhood of al-Sadeeq.
A second policeman was killed when a gunman opened fire on his car, near the al-Shaarin market in the centre of the city.
Mosul suffers from frequent violent attacks, often targeting policemen.
