The world press has put Turkey acting as an intermediary for peace between Israel and Syria in their headlines, reported World Bulletin.
Sabah said Israel and Syria spoke in writing for three days in Istanbul and left Istanbul to meet again at the same place.
World press praised Turkey which brought the two parties together.
Turkey has brought together the committees from Israel and Syria after eight years and they have agreed on the issues to be covered at the first round of meetings.
The committees will meet again in June and the minister of foreign affairs Ali Babacan stated that the basic principle is "land for peace and peace for land."
The parties stated that they have agreed on the issues to be discussed including the issue of Golan Hills under the occupation of Israel. After the meetings, Turkey, Syria and Israel have made a written statement and announced it to the public.
