Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said here Wednesday that his country is ready to "render every possible help to Syria on reform process," official SANA news agency reported.

Davutoglu made the remarks at his meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, during which they discussed the recent developments in Syria, Xinhua reported.

Assad expressed his appreciation of Turkey's stance on supporting Syria's security and stability.

Syrian president has ordered a series of reform initiatives including sacking the cabinet, ending the country's long-time emergency rule and releasing dozens of political detainees, in a bid to appease the protesters.

Unprecedented protests erupted in parts of Syria three weeks ago and turned into clashes between protesters and the security forces. Syrian authorities blamed foreign powers of being behind the turmoil in the country.
