Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that Turkey expected Israel and Palestinian groups to stand by their will to end violence within the scope of cease fire, to act with common sense, and to avoid acts that would harm the cease fire, Anadolu reported.
The ministry noted that the attacks, which Israel initiated on Gaza Strip on November 14, killed and wounded many innocent Palestinians, and dragged the region into a new chaos.
The ministry expressed pleasure that a cease fire was declared following the great efforts exerted to end Israeli attacks on Gaza and the escalating tension.
The ministry congratulated Egypt and Egyptian president for the role in providing a cease fire.
The peace process, which is continuously postponed, should immediately be initiated, added the ministry.
