Azerbaijan, Baku, February 4 / Trend , A.Huseynbala/
Political parties in Azerbaijan have to serve the people and the state, deputy executive secretary of the ruling party said.
"The accusations by opposition parties against each other prior to the parliamentary elections are expected fact. They put their own interests above all. Opposition's actualization of the factor of foreign support rises from those interests," Deputy Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), MP Siyavush Novruzov said on Feb. 4.
NAP was established by the chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Heydar Aliyev in 1992. The current President Ilham Aliyev is the chairman of the Party which has been ruling for already 17 years.
Opposition parties know each other well. "At these parties there is no transparency. Therefore, those joining this camp accuse each other of cooperating with foreign forces," said Novruzov.
According to him, these parties are also provided with financial support by foreign forces. "Perhaps, during the election, financial aid will increase, but they can not distribute it and therefore, accuse each other of working with foreign forces. They have never issued a financial report,"- said deputy executive secretary.
Political parties should serve the people and the state. "NAP submits a public financial report each year, and a similar report was presented as a result of 2009. Other parties should take an example from this," said Novruzov.
Despite attempts by the opposition, the foreign factor in the elections in Azerbaijan is zero. "The result of any election depends on the will of the voters," said the MP.
Head of the Musavat Party, Isa Gambar, last month accused some opposition parties of collaboration with the special service agencies of Iran and Russia, as well as with the authorities of Azerbaijan.
