Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has inspected the course of major reconstruction work in the building of Sheki State Drama Theatre after Sabit Rahman.
The Azerbaijani leader first met local residents. Speaking on behalf of Sheki inhabitants, director of the State Drama Theatre Hikmat Nabili thanked the Head of State.
President Ilham Aliyev then familiarized himself with the ongoing work. The Azerbaijani leader was informed that the building`s area would be expanded from 4,000 to 5,000 square meters, while the number of rooms would be increased from 78 to 86.
The Head of State was told that the three-storey building will meet all modern standards.
Reconstruction work, which started in March 2012, will also see the number of seats in the theater`s auditorium reach 299.
