About 2,232,269 square meters of Azerbaijani territory was cleared from mines and unexploded ammunition in July, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told Trend.
As a result of operations 483 unexploded ammunition and 9 antitank mines and 4 anti-personal mine were found and neutralized.
Some 480 experts participated and 120 assistants, as well as the six mechanical demining machines and 32 mine-detection dogs participated in the operations.
So far the agency cleared 167,000 square meters of land, found and neutralized 662,000 mines and unexploded ammunition.
ANAMA operates in Agdam, Agjabadi, Barda, Goygol, Tartar, Yevlakh and Fuzuli regions, as well as Guzdek settelement in the Garadag district of Baku.
