The number of economically active people in Azerbaijan in 2022 is forecasted to exceed 5.02 million manat ($2.95 million), Trend reports referring to the state budget bill.
According to the document, in 2023, 2024 and 2025, this figure will amount to 5.05 million, 5.07 million and 5.1 million people, respectively.
Thus, the number of economically active people in the country in 2025 will grow by 1.71 percent compared to 2022.
In the first eight months of 2021, 23.8 percent of employees were involved in the production, including 7.5 percent in the processing industry, 7.5 percent in construction, 3.5 percent in agriculture, forestry, and fishing, 1.9 percent in mining, water supply, waste treatment and recycling sectors.
