BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 5. The sale of movable state property at an auction held in Iran on July 30 amounted to 3 trillion rials (approximately $5.2 million).
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Ministry of Economy and Finance shows that heavy-duty vehicles, road equipment, passenger cars, spare parts, electrical appliances, etc. were sold at the auction, which was held simultaneously in 27 provinces.
State property was mainly sold at auctions in the provinces of Tehran, Khorasan, Isfahan, Lorestan, and Kermanshah.
The organization responsible for collecting and selling state property operates under the Iranian Ministry of Economy and Finance. Before the Islamic Revolution in Iran (1979), this work was carried out by Iranian customs.
