The Nominal Effective Rate (NER) of the Azerbaijani manat has increased by 0.4 percent in the total trade turnover, 1.7 percent in import and decreased by 0.7 percent in export in January-July 2009, the Azerbaijani Central Bank said on Aug.21. The NER decreased by 0.1 percent in the total trade turnover, 0.2 percent in export and increased by 0.1 percent in import compared to June, 2009.
The NER increased by 4 percent in the total trade turnover of the oil sector, 6.4 percent in export and 3.5 percent in import in January-July, compared to the end of 2008, the bank said. Compared to June, the NER increased by 0.3 percent, 0.8 percent and 0.2 percent respectively.
On Aug.21, the official rate is 0, 8040 manat to $1.
