According to preliminary data, Uzbekistan's GDP increased by 7.6 percent to 13.123 trillion soum in the first quarter.
The industrial output increased by 6.2 percent to 8.945 trillion soum in January-March compared to the same period last year.
Agricultural production grew by 5.8 percent to 1.407 trillion soum. Retail turnover jumped by 13.1 percent to 5.242 trillion soum and paid services rose by 13.8 percent to 1.99 trillion soum.
Uzbekistan increased its total capital investments by 4 percent to 3.275 trillion soum in the first quarter, and the volume of construction work rose by 0.9 percent to 1.501 trillion soum.
Uzbekistan's GDP increased by 8.5 percent to 61 trillion soum in 2010 compared to 2009.
