The private sector of Iran has invested 30 million euros and 2.5 trillion rials (app. $59 million) in the Anjerd copper mine in Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province, said Parviz Mohammadzadeh, Deputy Chairman of the Management and Planning Organization of East Azerbaijan Province, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
According to Mohammadzadeh, the Anjerd copper mine is estimated to have 300 million tons of sulfur reserves.
Mohammadzadeh it is planned for the mine to supply 30,000 tons of mining materials annually for the 1st phase of the condensate plant.
Anjerd copper mine is located in Ahar County of East Azerbaijan Province. The mine employs 50 people.
