North Khorasan Electric Distribution Company has implemented several plans in Northeastern Iran, to transfer electricity to the local villages, Trend reports via IRNA.
In total, some $2.3 million worth of electricity has been provided to the villages, by credit, said Managing Director of North Khorasan Electric Distribution Company Alireza Sabouri.
"The electricity has been supplied to 22 villages in North Khorasan Province, so now the villages in the province have 100-percent access to power," he said.
Sabouri also said that some automation projects to expand power distribution network have been launched as well, some of the projects kicked off in 2016.
"Aerial bundled cables have replaced copper wires that will reduce the power cuts and power loss," he said. "The cables are water resistant and decrease many risks in the power network," he said.
Sabouri added that around 345,000 users consume 320 megawatt of electricity in North Khorasan.
