BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30
Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:
As part of the land registration reform in Georgia, more than one million land plots have been registered as property, said the National Agency for Public Registry, Trend reports via Georgian media.
In 2019, the Ministry of Justice of Georgia developed a concept for systematic and sporadic registration of land plots, which involves the completion of the process within three years. With a systematic approach, all land plots in a particular area are simultaneously entered into the cadastral book, and with a sporadic approach, registration is carried out on request.
Simplified procedures are completely free, registration services and the expansion of the concept of a land ownership document have significantly simplified the land registration process for the population.
In addition, the Agency calls on those who have not yet managed to register their land plot to take advantage of the benefits provided by the state.
As part of the reform, land registration procedures were simplified from August 1, 2016. Its purpose is to protect the rights of owners. You can register land plots in the Houses of Justice, branches of the Public Register and public centers of Georgia.
Registration of agricultural land is the main condition for obtaining benefits from the state for farmers.
