The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will conduct core recovery from the Flanovsky field (formerly Rakushechnoye) in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR said today.
Four 80-meter-deep wells will be drilled by the "Zohrab Veliyev" research ship. An express soil analysis will be held in the laboratory on board the ship. Its physical and mechanical features will be studied.
The expedition has already been sent for operations, which will last one month.
The operations will held based on an order from the Morinologiya company.
