French company CIFAL with 15-year joint activities intends to grow with Turkmenistan a fruitful interaction, national television company Altin Asir reported citing Gilles Remy, the company CEO, as saying in a meeting with Turkmen president Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov.

Attending the reception were Senator Aymeri de Montesquiou Fezensaka, French President's representative in Central Asia.

CIFAL is involved in oil and gas, construction, electric technologies and communications. Berdimuhammedov said presently the Turkmen-French ties expand in bilateral format and under a dialogue with the EU, which has intensified over the past few years.

In turn, Remy said French business's increasing interests towards Turkmenistan is mostly conditioned by Berdimuhammedov's visit to France in February 2010.

"Turkmenistan is always open mutually profitable business contacts, first of all with leading representative of the global business," the Turkmen leader said, committing the relevant agencies to discuss trade and economic cooperation amid agreement achieved in Paris.

The sides voiced their confidence that Turkmen-French partnership will hence go on developing, finding its reflection in new joint projects.
