Kazakhstan’s gas production ups in January-October

Kazakhstan's total production of gas amounted to 33.135 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January-October, 2012, compared to 32.65 bcm during the same period of 2011, the national dispatch center of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.

Gas production in Kazakhstan totaled 3.261 bcm in October, 2012 compared to 3.196 bcm during the same month of last year. In October, 2012 gas production in the country increased by 2 percent as compared to October, 2011 and increased by 5.3 percent compared to the previous month.

The fulfillment of the indicative plan on the gas extraction amounted to 101.6 percent in October, 2012.

Kazakhstan's domestic demand for gas amounted to 706.9 million cubic metres in October, 2012, which is 55.2 percent more than demand in the previous month and 0.7 percent more than in October, 2011.
