S.Babayeva/ Azerbaijani HR Foundation for the Development of ICT selected five
students who may be first sent abroad to study IT, HR Foundation said on 1
December.
"Twenty people were selected for interviewing with council members to reveal
their level of knowledge," Foundation said.
The finally selected five students still have to undergo further interviews to
be able to study abroad.
The Foundation has no unified system or source of funding to enable
students to study abroad. During interviewing any of the private companies that
are members of the Foundation may assume financing of a student.
Azerbaijani HR Foundation for the Development of ICT includes eleven Azerbaijani
IT companies - Azercell Telecom, Bakcell, AzEuroTel, Caspian American
Telecommunication, Delta Telecom, Azerfon, Azel, Sinam, R.I.SK, Ultra,
Microsoft Azerbaijan and the National Council of Youth Organizations of
Azerbaijan.
The Foundation was established to provide financial support to students to
study abroad. Funding sources of the foundation are private companies and the Ministry
of Communications and IT.
