BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 20. Kyrgyzstan imported 913 tons of oil products from Belarus in January 2024, Trend reports.
According to Kyrgyzstan's State Statistical Committee, these
imports totaled $354,700. It is worth noting that no oil products
were imported from Belarus during the same period last year.
Throughout the reporting year, Kyrgyzstan imported the majority of
its oil products from Russia, totaling 52,222 tons valued at
$37.585 million. Furthermore, large imports were made from
Kazakhstan, totaling 16,231 tons valued at $11.562 million.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan imported 70,500 tons of oil products in
January 2024, 3.9 times more than in January 2023 (17,883 tonnes).
The value of imports totaled $52.748 million, up 2.9 times over the
same month in 2023 ($17.709 million).
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover totaled $1.168 billion in
January 2024, a 36.8 percent increase over January 2023. Exports
totaled $181.3 million, a 46.6 percent increase from January 2023.
Imports grew 35.1 percent from January 2023 to $987.5 million.
