DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, August 22. Tajikistan and China plan to establish the first joint venture for electric car production in Tajikistan's territory, Trend reports.
A corresponding memorandum of understanding worth $25 million for the organization, establishment, and management of a joint electric car production enterprise was signed between the "Avesto Group" company of Tajikistan and the Chinese "Jinchuan Group" company.
The production capacity of the enterprise is set at 1,500 cars per year.
During the official visit of Rustam Emomali, the Chairman of the Upper House of the Parliament of Tajikistan and the Mayor of Dushanbe, to China on August 22, a series of documents on cooperation between the private sectors of Tajikistan and China were signed, with a combined total value exceeding $400 million.
"Avesto Group" carries out a broad spectrum of projects in strategically important sectors of Tajikistan's economy. The company makes a substantial contribution to the country's industrial and innovative development through investment attraction and the establishment of new production facilities.
