ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 16. Farmers of the Lebap region grow high-yielding wheat varieties 'Alekseich' and 'Bezosty-100' purchased from Russia, Trend reports.
This year, in the eastern region, 16,105 hectares of wheat have been allocated for the Russian varieties 'Bezosty-100', 112,863 hectares for the variety 'Alekseich'.
In general, there are about 130,000 hectares of land throughout the Lebap region this year, from which it is planned to harvest 310,000 tons of wheat.
Agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. This is one of the most important sectors of the economy in Turkmenistan.
The state provides targeted support for the development of the agricultural sector in the country. In particular, the entire production infrastructure of the agro-industrial complex is being re-equipped and modernized, the chemical industry is developing, and modern tractor combines and other equipment are being purchased.
