TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 25. Uzbekistan aims to search for new markets for exports as a response to ongoing constraints and price fluctuations affecting its products in foreign countries, Trend reports.

As per Sherzod Asadov, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Head of Administration and Press Secretary of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the president calls on governors and ministers of the country to discuss issues of where and how to sell products and what kind of support should be provided to entrepreneurs if trade restrictions and fluctuations in the markets of the main partner countries persist.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also noted that the situation and conflicts in the world are becoming increasingly tense.

"We need new enterprises, jobs, and markets, as well as investments and large revenues, for the well-being and future of our country and people," he said.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover made $44.8 billion from January through September of 2023.

As per Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee, the recorded number is 22.1 percent, or $8.1 billion, greater than the volume fixed in the same period last year.

The agency’s analysts state that such a boost is a result of the measures implemented by Uzbekistan in recent years to stimulate exports, optimize imports, and, in general, ensure the balance of foreign trade.

Moreover, Uzbekistan plans to increase the value of exported goods to $19 billion in 2024. Uzbekistan’s exports amounted to $16.4 billion from January through September of 2023, an increase of 27.8 percent compared to 2022 statistics.
