TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 4. The foreign trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia amounted to $7.7 billion from January through August 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's statistics agency showed that this is 26.2 percent more compared to the same period in 2023, when the trade turnover amounted to $6.1 billion.
Of Uzbekistan's main commercial partners during that time, Russia ranked third in terms of trade turnover, as Uzbekistan's exports to Russia totaled $2.4 billion, 26.3 percent more than last year ($1.9 billion from January through August 2023).
Uzbekistan's imports from Russia reached $5.3 billion from January through August 2024. This figure increased by 29.2 percent compared to the same period last year ($4.1 billion from January through August 2023).
The volume of Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $42.7 billion from January through August 2024. This indicator increased by 6.7 percent compared to the same period last year ($40 billion from January through August 2023).
Furthermore, Uzbekistan's exports from January through August 2024 reached $17.3 billion, while imports hit $25.3 billion.
