TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 7. The number of tourists from Uzbekistan who visited Azerbaijan in October 2024 amounted to 3,727 people.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan shows that this figure increased by 8 percent compared to August last year, when 3,440 tourists from Uzbekistan visited Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, a total of 37,536 tourists from Uzbekistan visited Azerbaijan from January through October 2024, which is 19 percent more than last year (31,416 tourists from January through October 2023).
Furthermore, Uzbekistan occupied the thirteenth place among 15 countries whose citizens visited Azerbaijan in August.
The data from the agency indicates that among Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan attracted the most tourists from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
To note, the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan announced that in 2023 the number of Uzbek tourists to Azerbaijan reached 39,663, which is 51 percent more than in the same period of 2022.
