At least 25 people were killed and 75 injured in a series of blasts in predominantly Shiite Muslim neighbourhoods of Baghdad Tuesday morning, police said, DPA reported.
Police told the German Press Agency dpa that the blasts destroyed several buildings in three districts of the capital, two days after three, apparently coordinated, car bombs killed dozens of people and injured hundreds more in the capital.
One of Tuesday's blasts hit a restaurant near central Baghdad's Haifa Street, the site of many ministries and government offices, police told dpa.
Witnesses said police had blocked off the roads leading to the site of the attacks, and that ambulances were racing to the scene.
