ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 21. The volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan from January through November 2023 increased by 73 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, reaching $738.96 million compared to the previous $427.07 million, Trend reports.
According to the data of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee (SCC), Turkmenistan became part of the roster of the top 15 nations concerning trade volume with Azerbaijan in the initial eleven months of this year.
Throughout this timeframe, Turkmenistan's exports to Azerbaijan totaled $661.63 million, which is 62.4 percent more than in the corresponding period in 2022, where exports amounted to $407.43 million.
Turkmenistan's share in the total volume of Azerbaijani imports in the reporting period amounted to 4.18 percent, compared to 3.16 percent in the first eleven months of last year.
Turkmenistan increased imports from Azerbaijan by 3.9 times from January through November 2023 compared to the same period in 2022 ($19.64 million), up to $77.33 million.
Turkmenistan accounted for 0.25 percent of total exports from Azerbaijan, compared with 0.05 percent recorded in the first eleven months of 2022.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan amounted to $535.3 million in 2022.
