ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 29. Units of the Nebitgazduypliabatlayysh Trust under the Turkmennebit State Concern have generated an additional 81,830 tons of oil since the beginning of 2025 through well overhauls at the Goturdepe, Barsagelmez, and Gamyshlydzha fields, Trend reports via the state concern's press service.
This figure amounts to 141 percent of the production plan for the first half of the year. A key contribution came from the Gamyshlydzha overhaul department, where specialists exceeded targets by producing more than 24,000 tons of oil. The department successfully repaired 32 wells, returning 24 of them to full operation.
Across all sites, a total of 217 wells were overhauled during the reporting period, surpassing the planned 199. The work was carried out using the trust’s own motor transport and specialized equipment.
Turkmennebit emphasizes that restoring low-yield and idle wells is a cost-effective method for boosting hydrocarbon output. The Balkan region, where these fields are located, remains one of Turkmenistan’s most important oil-producing regions.
