ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 29. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has called on Turkish businesses to deepen their presence in Kazakhstan by taking part in large-scale infrastructure, energy, and logistics projects, Trend reports via Akorda.
Speaking during high-level talks in Ankara, Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan is "always ready to support Turkish investors" and highlighted the strategic role of both countries in Eurasian trade. He noted that about 4,000 Turkish companies currently operate in Kazakhstan, with joint projects worth $6 billion implemented across sectors such as energy, construction, agriculture, medicine, and tourism.
The President underscored Kazakhstan’s commitment to modernizing transport infrastructure and boosting connectivity via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, also known as the Middle Corridor. “We invite Turkish investors to actively participate in major projects,” Tokayev said, adding that the government is ready to offer special incentives.
He also pointed to opportunities in the energy sector, including increased oil exports via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and joint development of power generation facilities. In agriculture, Tokayev expressed interest in adopting Turkish technologies to enhance productivity and advance digitalization.
