BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 24. The development of master plans of Babak and Julfa cities in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is starting, Trend reports via the unified internet portal of public procurements.
In this regard, the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture has completed the preparatory work.
The committee entrusted the development of master plans for both cities to the "Azerdovletlayihe" State Project Institute of the State Agency for Construction Safety Oversight under the Ministry of Emergency Situations and signed a contract with it.
According to the contract, the development of the master plan for the city of Babak will cost the Committee 171,100 manat ($100,500), while the development of the master plan for Julfa city will cost 179,400 manat ($105,800).
The history of the "AzerDovletLayiha" design institute spans over 80 years. The institute, established in 1926 as a building department, has evolved into the primary platform for the design of governmental facilities. Notable architects from Azerbaijan have collaborated within the institute. A considerable quantity of edifices and structures has been erected across the country in accordance with their designs.
