The International Bertelsmann Forum (IBF) is expected to be held in Berlin on September 22-24. According to Chief of the Presidential Administration's Foreign Policy Department Novruz Mammadov, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev is about to take part at this arrangement.
Notably, the Forum envisages the participation of heads of some states and governments, ministries and intellectual people of countries neighbouring to Germany, as well as other European countries` officials.
The above-mentioned project is aimed at supporting the dialogue in Europe. One time in each two years known representatives of government, business, as well as culture circles and mass media meet to discuss existing and strategic issues of th European policy. IBF prepares a strategic document on the existing development of Europe, including ways of the legal crises resolution, as well as the global rivalry and the policy of security.
The last Forum of the Fund was held under the name European Alternatives-Changes and Perspectives of Expanding Europe held in Berlin in 2004. The leaders of more than 30 countries and governments, representatives of parliaments and ministers of 22 European countries, as well as representatives of US and Israel were invited to participate at this arrangement.
Mr. Mammadov also pointed out that the Azerbaijani President is about to take part in the Session of the Turkic Language Countries to be held in Antalya (Turkey) on September 18-20, 2006.
