The representatives of the international organizations and other interested sides may participate in considering the complaints received by the Central Election Commission (CEC) about the repeat, additional, new and first municipal elections held on October 6 in Azerbaijan, the CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov told on 11 October in the meeting of the Commission, Trend reports.
He noted that the municipal elections were held in a high level and transparent manner. According to Panahov, the number of the complaints by indicating concrete polling stations equals 10-12 in aggregate. The remaining complaints are of public character. The CEC Chairman added that if any breaks are revealed on base of the complaints, appropriate measures will be taken within the law. In addition, he emphasized that each interested person may participate in considering the complaints in the CEC.
Generally the CEC have received 30 appeals in regard with election within three days after voting. Several of them are letters of gratitude and the remaining part complaints. All the complaints were considered on October 10-11.
