Dictionary of the Juhuro-Mountain Jew Language was published in Baku, one of the authors of the dictionary Mikhail Agarunov said.
"The publication of this dictionary is another sign of how much attention is paid to the preservation and development of languages of small nations in Azerbaijan," Agarunov said.
The work on the dictionary has been carried out almost continuously since 1994. The book combines the Mountain Jew Language -Russian dictionary (14,000 words and phrases) and Russian- Mountain Jew Language (more than 19,000 words). Dictionary of such a volume is published for the first time. In addition, it is the first edition in which were used the Mountain-Jewish alphabet, used only by the Jews of Azerbaijan. So far, the dictionaries were published by using the Latin alphabet or the so-called "Dagestani in Cyrillic.
