BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 25. Revenue to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the State Customs Committee (SCC) increased by 4.57 percent, or 239.5 million manat ($140.8 million), in the period from January through October 2024 compared to the same period of 2023.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Customs Committee shows that revenues exceeded 5.4 billion manat ($3.1 billion) in the reporting period.
The state budget received revenues from customs duties in the reporting period of 2024, which amounted to 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion), an increase of 25.68 percent (348.4 million manat ($204.9 million)) compared to the same period last year.
Moreover, revenues from VAT in the reporting period amounted to 3.5 billion manat ($2.05 billion) (2.35 percent decrease compared to the same period of 2023), from excise tax—164.5 million manat ($96.7 million) (11.86 percent decrease), and from road tax—35.5 million manat ($20.8 million) (2.76 percent decrease).
To note, revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the SCC in 2023 increased by 12.08 percent compared to 2022—up to 6.3 billion manat ($3.7 billion).
